Sage 100 and Windows 10 Updates

Recent Windows 10 updates are causing an increase in errors when printing and/or electronically delivering forms via Paperless Office in Sage 100.  These errors present as prompts for a file name or path to create the PDF during printing or as window for an “Output File Name” or one requesting the user to “Save As”.  The root cause behind the issues has been traced to changes made by the Windows 10 Updates to the Amyuni Document Converter Driver (updating it to a version not compatible with Sage 100) or in some cases to the Amyuni Windows Registry Keys.

To resolve the issues Sage has released program fixes for versions 2019 (Product Update 5) and above which update the Amyuni Driver.  To take advantage of this patch the fix must be installed on the Sage 100 server with all users logged out and then each workstation using Sage 100 must have the Paperless PDF Converter reinstalled.

For users operating on a version of Sage 100 prior to 2019 no patch is available.  However the issues can be resolved by removing the updated Amyuni PDF Converter printer driver and reverting it to an earlier version to stay compatible with Sage 100.  The Paperless PDF Converter must then be reinstalled on the workstation.  In this instance the process may have to be repeated should a future Windows Update cause the issues to occur again.
