Sage 100 Version 2015 is full of innovative enhancements that further improve Sage 100’s already outstanding user experience. Being the “techy” nerd I am, I am rather excited about the improvements. That’s why I can’t help but share a few of my favorite additions with you, like the new Purchase Order History capabilities.
Purchase Order Simplicity
First of all, there’s an awesome improvement in the Purchase Order (PO) module. For years, the Sales Order module has had a “leg up” on PO, since it has always provided access to originating orders.
As for the PO module, until now, once a user fully received and invoiced a PO, it disappeared. Thanks to version 2015, though, you can stop wondering, “Whatever became of that long lost PO?”
Here comes Purchase Order History! This feature lets you review and drill back to the originating PO, and drill forward to any and all receipts against the originating order, even long after the PO is complete.
Purchase Order History lets users track canceled POs against the canceled line item. Users can now assign “canceled reason” codes to orders or individual line items, and report from these canceled reason codes.
Creating New Purchase Orders
Since you can now access Purchase Order history, creating new POs just got a whole lot more fun, too. When applicable, simply copy the original PO (which was formerly MIA) to create a new one. We see a lot of saved keystrokes in your future!
Purchase Order History Report
Finally, the new Purchase Order history would not be complete without a new report.
