Sage Intacct just released its quarter 3 release at the end of August. This release is full of exciting new updates we highlighted in our webinar August 29. You can watch the recorded webinar here. Sage Intacct continues to anticipate your business needs of greater insight, control, flexibility, and compliance with their evolving technology and process innovation. Additional features with this release continue to support growing functionality on this best in class platform.
One exiting feature that has started rolling out to a small sample of clients is Sage Intacct’s Banking and Payment Cloud, an all-new subscription that allows you to connect your bank feed directly to Intacct! Transactions flow into reconciliation where they are auto-matched automatically. Any unmatched deposits will flow into the bank transactions page where AR users can quickly receive customer payments, then the transactions are automatically matched for bank reconciliation. This feature is only available in Action UI and will be available to all customers in mid October! Be on the lookout for more information coming soon!
A brand new standard general ledger reports showing balance by dimension is also available with this release. You have the ability to select the dimensions to use in the report along with the presentation format so they appear side by side, or cascading. This report is essentially an answer to a trial balance by dimension which is so often requested by clients.
Additional changes to the workflow modules (purchasing and order entry) have rolled out to increase productivity and effectiveness while creating workflow transactions. First, you now can choose to Print/Email invoices for just unpaid transactions. No more confusing your customers by sending them a copy of an invoice they’ve already paid! Just select the “Unpaid Transactions” filter in the Print/Email screen. Next, you have the option to filter bill to or ship to contacts to just contacts related to the customer/vendor. Previously, you saw the entire list of company contacts, and now you can filter out that list to show a concise listing of related contacts for a more accurate review in your transaction.
One last update we’d like to make you aware of is in regards to Cash Management funds transfers. Sage Intacct no longer supports recording charge card payments via funds transfers. This method of payoff is not recommended by Sage Intacct, and has now become unsupported. If you are recording charge card transactions through cash management, now all users must use the charge payoffs workflow to create an AP Bill to pay off their charge card balances.
