The Top Three Sage 100 (MAS 90/MAS 200) Features You’re Not Using

As we go about our busy work lives, it’s easy to just keep doing things the way we’ve always done them. Sometimes, though, maintaining the status quo means we miss out on efficiency-promoting tools that can literally give us more time in our day. More time for strategizing. More time for proactive planning. More time for those Zoom meetings. We gathered our consulting team together and asked them for three features in Sage 100 that they think are being underutilized by our clients. Here they are — and how they can help.

Sage Contact for Microsoft 365

Chances are your organization is among the half of all businesses in the world that use Microsoft Office 365. If so, you should know about Sage Contact.

Sage Contact provides direct access to key Sage 100 customer information from within Outlook 365, including available credit, outstanding balances and the number of days it typically takes to settle a bill. Users can click through payment and invoice histories, view and update contact information, review customer communications, and examine memos. Because it’s available through Outlook in Office 365 via laptop, tablet or mobile device, Sage Contact is ideal for sales staff that may spend time out of the office yet need access to key customer information while on the road.

Sage Contact is included in your Sage 100 subscription — there’s nothing additional to purchase or install. And Sage Contact can be extended to everyone in your organization without the need to purchase additional product licenses for Sage 100.

Sage 100 eInvoicing

eInvoicing is a feature added in the March 2020 release of Sage 100 that makes it easier for your customers to pay you more quickly — and who wouldn’t want that? With eInvoicing, your business will have the option to let customers pay invoices online using their credit card or ACH.

The feature works for Accounts Receivable, Job Cost, and Sales Order invoices. As invoices are updated, the system automatically emails invoices to your customers. The email contains a link allowing the customer to enter their payment information. The payment data is then imported into Cash Receipts Entry to continue normal processing.

Electronic payment processing is familiar to your clients, and Sage eInvoicing ensures it is secure as well. We invite you to view our recorded webinar on the topic to learn more.

Bank Feeds

Bank reconciliation is a chore — so anything to make the task simpler and quicker to accomplish is welcome. Sage Bank Feeds is here to help by automating many of the manual tasks associated with bank reconciliation.

With Sage Bank Feeds, you can import bank transactions and match them against Sage 100 Check, Deposit, and Adjustment entries. The feature allows you to connect directly to your bank feeds, automating transaction matching, and easily identifying flagged disparities as they happen. Sage 100 Bank Feeds was added in 2018 and is included for all Sage 100 customers.

We could all use some extra time in our day. If you’re not yet using these simple, yet powerful efficiency tools, we invite you to give them a try. Contact us to learn more.
