In the 2017 Release 1 of Intacct, the Spend Management module allows even better visibility of budgeted and actual expenses. This module is designed to prevent users from exceeding budgets. See our blog, Monitor Spending and Meet Budgets for a primer. We are excited about the Intacct Spend Management module enhancements!
Now you can see budget totals and expenditures.
On the Purchase Order page, use the “Show Spend Insight” function to learn if a potential expense fits into your budget. (Image 1)
Here, you can make adjustments to the requisition to accommodate the current budget or request budget changes. You can do this even before it is posted.
This feature speeds up the purchasing approval process by making budget information visible when you enter the request. Best of all, there is no need to wait until submitting an expense to learn if it will exceed the budget. (Image 2)
You can now include committed expenses in the spend control analysis.
Create a user-defined book to track expenses put aside for specific purposes. Want a true picture of available funds? Set up the spend management configuration to include these commitments. (Image 3)
We love that these enhancements give you total control of spending. To learn more about how Intacct can help you monitor expenses and stay on top of your budget, please contact MicroAccounting!
