Sage introduced Visual Process Flows into Sage 100 ERP (formerly MAS 90 / MAS 200) with Version 2013. Our colleague Kathy Potter wrote recently about how this can make it easy to remember the next step in the process. And while we don’t dispute that, our sister company, xkzero, pointed out to us that Visual Process Flows does not necessarily always provide the fastest way to access data in Sage 100 ERP.
Here is a link to a new video from xkzero in which a new order needs to be entered into the system based on a customer calling and providing their phone number. We’ll accept the possibility that your results may vary, but in the example they show, the user is in a position to take the customer’s order in about half the time when using GetX vs. Visual Process Flows.
